Crew Reserves Top Union Reserves, 1-0

The Columbus Crew reserves defeated the Philadelphia Union reserves Sunday morning (10:00 am) at Crew Stadium, 1-0, in the MLS Reserve League.  With the win, the Crew reserves are now 4-1-0 this season.

The only goal of the game was scored by rookie Crew midfielder Bernardo Anor in the 70th minute.  Cole Grossman played the ball to Crew Soccer Academy player Khai Celestin.  Celestin crossed the ball into the box, where Anor got on the end of it and hit a shot into the bottom right corner.

Crew goalie Andy Gruenebaum earned a shutout.  He has two shutouts in MLS this season.

The next game for the Crew reserves is September 11th, in Crew Stadium, at 10:00 am against Toronto F.C.
