A first-half Jairo Arrieta brace followed by a controversial 87th minute Milovan Mirosevic goal gave the Columbus Crew a much needed 3-2 home victory against the Philadelphia Union on Saturday night. The Crew’s 2-0 halftime lead was squashed after a penalty kick goal by Danny Cruz and a brilliant late finish by Jack McInerney. However, the assistant referee kept his flag down when the obviously offside Mirosevic collected the ball in the box before blasting it into the top-right corner, giving Columbus the win.
